According to the West Tennessee Drug Task Force – 28th 29th 30th Districts, agents served a search warrant at a home on Poplar Corner Road in Haywood County Wednesday morning.
The task force says assistance was provided by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Brownsville Police Department, and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
During the search, the task force says agents seized more than 2 1/4 pounds of marijuana, marijuana edibles, three vials of morphine sulfate, a felony amount of Lorazepam, electronic scales, multiple weapons, a large amount of ammunition, and nearly $38,000 in suspected drug proceeds.
The task force says one male – who has not been identified – was arrested and admitted to agents that he sold drugs.
The suspect is now facing charges of possession of schedule II, IV, and VI drugs with intent, possession of a weapon during the commission of a dangerous felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was transported to the Haywood County jail to await arraignment.
