Benton County Dispatch Report: September 1-5

BENTON COUNTY, Tenn. — The following are full dispatch reports from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, week of September 1-5.

Sunday, September 1

HOLLADAY / SUGAR TREE AREA
  • Deputies responded to the report of a suspicious item. Deputy advised that the item was collected.
  • Holladay McIllwain FD responded to the request for a landing zone.
  • Deputies responded to the report of a suspicious person. Deputies checked the area but made no contact with any persons matching the given description.
CAMDEN AREA
  • Deputy responded to the report of an automated crash detection. Deputy advised no contact was made with any accidents in the area.
  • Deputies responded to the report of a reckless driver. Deputies made contact with the vehicle and a traffic stop was performed. Deputy advised that everything was copasetic.
  • Deputies responded to the request to assist another county. Deputies attempted to make contact with a wanted subject. Deputy advised that no contact was made.

Monday, September 2

HOLLADAY / SUGAR TREE AREA
  • Deputy responded to a business alarm. Alarm company advised there was a motion detector going off. Deputy arrived on scene and advised he checked all doors and ecureds the area. Deputy patrolled the area and made no contact with anybody.
  • Deputies,EMS and THP responded to an assisting county call. THP advised they needed some assistance tracking down a driver that they were in pursuit of. THP advised the vehicle crashed after they called off the pursuit and the vehicle was empty. Deputies patrolled the area looking for the driver. Decatur County assisted with the drone, as well as k9 Bojangles on the ground. Deputies,Bojangles,Decatur County and THP tracked a few miles and then lost contact with the subject. THP advised they would continue to search and ended up finding him in another county.
CAMDEN AREA
  • Deputy responded to a call about a boat in the middle of the roadway. Deputy made scene and advised that the boat was a little in the roadway but it had a flat trailer tire, the owner was getting it fixed. There was plenty of rooms for vehicles to pass by.
  • Deputy responded to a reckless driver call. Caller advised that there was a vehicle all over the roadway. Deputy made scene and found the vehicle, the deputy followed them and advised they were driving just fine.
  • Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in progress. Caller advised her and her boyfriend were getting into a verbal argument and it had not been physical. Deputies made scene and advised them that the parties had been separated. Parties did not want to press charges for the property damage they both were involved in during the arguments.
  • Deputies responded to a theft not in progress. Caller advised she had her jeep stolen and wanted it back; she knew who took it. Deputy advised that they made scene and got more information on the vehicle. Vehicle was not hers but she was making payments on it to own iot. Deputy advised this would be a civil issue and advised her of her legal rights.
  • Deputies responded to a call about a female lending her vehicle to her niece, her ncie gave it back and she thinks there are drugs inside it. Deputies arrived on scene and advised that they did find drugs and confiscated the drugs.
  • Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in progress. Caller advised she wanted her husband removed from the property, and they had been arguing/drinking. Deputies made scene and advised they separated both parties. Deputies advised they found drugs in plain sight inside the home. Also both parties admitted to hitting the other one. Both parties were arrested for domestic assault and the home was searched for more drugs.
  • Deputy responded to a reckless driver call. Caller advised that there was a large truck speeding up and down her road. Deputy arrived on scene and patrolled the area, they did not make any contact with the vehicle. Deputy continued to patrol the area.
  • Deputy and THP responded to an accident. Caller advised the vehicle flipped over and there was no entrapment. No injuries and THP worked the wreck.

BIG SANDY AREA
  • Deputy responded to a 911 open line. Deputy arrived on scene and advised everything was ok. It was an accident, they did not need any emergency services.
ARRESTS
  • 1 male for domestic assault, 1 female for domestic assault

Tuesday, September 3

HOLLADAY / SUGAR TREE AREA
  • Deputy responded to the report of a suspicious person. Deputy checked the area and advised that no contact was made.
CAMDEN AREA
  • Deputy responded to the report of an unruly/juvenile problem.
  • Deputies and THP responded to the report of a three-vehicle accident-no injuries. THP took the report.
  • Deputy responded to the report of a property exchange. Deputy arrested a female subject on multiple offenses.
  • Chalk Level FD responded to the report of a carbon monoxide alarm. CLFD advised everything was okay.
  • Deputy responded to the report of suspicious activity. Deputy checked the area but made no contact with the vehicle. Deputy advised to have a bolo entered for surrounding counties to check a female subject’s welfare. Family member of the female made contact with BCSO and advised that everything was okay. Deputy spoke to the family and advised that the bolo for the welfare check could be canceled.
  • Deputies assisted Camden PD with domestic disturbance-in progress. Camden PD arrested a male subject for public intoxication and resisting stop/arrest.

BIG SANDY AREA
  • Deputy responded to the report of suspicious activity. Deputy made contact and advised that everything was okay.
  • Deputies responded to the request for a welfare check. Deputies made contact with the male and advised that everything was okay.
  • Deputy and EMS responded to the report of a medical alarm. Deputy advised that the patient was back up and in their chair.
ARRESTS
  • 2 arrests made; 2 as previously mentioned

Wednesday, September 4

HOLLADAY / SUGAR TREE AREA
  • Deputy responded to the report of a physical domestic disturbance – in progress. Deputy advised party separation.
CAMDEN AREA
  • Deputy responded to the report of reckless driver. Deputy made contact with the vehicle and advised that everything was okay.
  • Morris Chapel and Camden FDs responded to the report of a grass fire.
  • Deputy responded to the report of a suspicious person. Deputy made contact and advised that everything was okay, it was just a juvenile walking to a friend’s house.
  • Deputy responded to the report of child abuse. Deputy took the report.
  • Deputy made contact with wanted subject. Female subject was arrested on a VOP warrant.

BIG SANDY AREA
  • Big Sandy FD responded to the report of a vehicle fire involving a tractor.
  • Deputy responded to the report of an unwanted subject. Deputy checked the area and advised that the female subject was GOA.
ARRESTS
  • 3 arrests made; 1 as previously stated, 1 male released into our custody from Dickson County and 1 male arrested by THP.

Thursday, September 5

HOLLADAY/SUGAR TREE AREA
  • Deputies responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle. City units went to the residence to make contact with the owner. Owner adv he had over corrected to avoid a deer but everyone was ok.
  • Deputies responded to a civil matter regarding eviction. Deputies advised them of their options.
CAMDEN AREA
  • Deputies responded to a residential alarm. They made contact with the owner who advised it was an accident.
  • Deputies responded to an accident, A bus was snagged on a low hanging internet wire, there was no damage.
EVA AREA
  • Deputy made a traffic stop on a 4 wheeler. The male was taken into custody due to the circumstances of the stop. The 4 wheeler was reported stolen out of Arkansas.
BIG SANDY AREA
  • Deputies served a warrant for another county. One male taken into custody.
ARRESTS
  • 4 arrests made. 2 as stated above. 2 transported from other counties.
