‘First Friday Art Walk’ kicks off in downtown Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — One community comes together to celebrate a common interest, while also making some extra cash.

This Friday marks the first of three appearances of the Downtown Jackson Art Walk.

It’s an event where artists can sell their work at various booths set up around the Jackson Walk.

And this evening multiple artists did just that alongside food vendors and live music.

“I didn’t come into art until later in life and so it’s very exciting to me to see young people, older people still out here showing what they are creating and I just love that there’s a spot for everyone to gather to do that,” said Meg McNaughton, attendee.

The next dates for the Downtown Jackson Art Walk are October 4 and November 1. For more information on the next art walk click here.
