Law enforcement responds to shooting in east Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — Around 4 p.m. Tuesday, our tipsters informed us of a large police presence in east Jackson on North Royal Street.

When our crew arrived we saw over a dozen law enforcement officers assessing a crime scene.

Nearby neighbors tell us that an individual was taken out of the home on a stretcher and transported to the hospital.

A store employee from the nearby Citgo gas station also tells us that this is related to the robbery they experienced Sunday, September 8.According to Jackson police, they confirm a shooting happened, but had no further comment at this time. This is still an active an ongoing investigation.
