Team of The Week Westview Chargers
It’s Thursday so lets start things off with our team of the
week and it will be The Westview Chargers.This past week they hit the
road and got a win over Scotts hill with a final of 70 to 7. It was a win in which they pretty much scored in every way possible.
On special teams. offense and even Defense. All eyes have been on the Chargers for the past
3 weeks because due to not only their three game winning
streak but how badly they have beaten teams. They have
scored 60 or more points in all of their games and only allowed
7 points… I’ll say that again only allowed 7 points after playing
three different teams. I dont know if this is a high school team
or the 85 Bears defense and we can’t forget they have a freshman
quarterback Graham Simpson who is taking the game by storm throwing
as many as seven touchdowns in the season opener. We caught up with head
coach Matt Mcconell and he spoke to the team’s success and how his young QB
is taking command of the team.

“You know its a lot of work they have spent a lot of time together working throughout the summer
and even in the spring and its just a testament to those kids on how they work and their
attitudes you know they come to practice everyday with a good attitude and for us as coaches it makes it fun makes it easy to come out to practice everyday when the kids have great attitudes
and they come out and compete. That’s what it’s all about. Special player special kid he’s a great football player he studies the game he always studying and working but he’s a great person i think
That’s the main thing about Graham. He’s a great person that is a good leader on our team special
being a freshman first year you know i can’t say enough about him.”
