Race event takes place in Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn.—One local race has participants testing out their ninja skills!
The U.S. Road Running Club hosted its Ninja Marathon Race today. The themed event began at 8:30 this morning at North Park in Jackson.
Runners were invited to wear a costume to the event, and the person with the best costume received an award.
The event includes a 1M, 5K, 15K and half marathon course available to participants.
Time limits were set up for the courses with the competition set to conclude at 12:30 this afternoon.
“It’s not a competition we are just here to be there for folks who want to get out, get healthy, get going and be more physically active and we encourage all people to come and join us,” said Angela Kanish, Race course director.
Participants who endured the rainy weather and completed their course received a themed medal.
