‘Praise in the Park’ brings night of fellowship to the Hub City
JACKSON, Tenn. — It was a night full of fellowship as a part of an initiative to bring forward unity throughout every community.
“Praise in the Park” was held late Sunday afternoon at Conger Park in Jackson.
Participants tell us the mission is to help people find a peace with God that they didn’t know before they had a real spiritual relationship.
They express that it doesn’t matter where you come from as far as a church experience or denomination.
They want all people to come together be the example to for a brighter future.
“We have had a good response from this, and it lets the community know that we are out here doing the work,” said Pastor Clarence Currie. “Go ye into all the nations, but we are goin’ into the parks.”
“There are no perfect people,” said William Cole, Blaire’s Chapel CME. “No perfect people, just a perfect God. So if you have any kind of reservations about participating, know this: We are all sinners saved by grace.”
They are looking forward to more churches being a part of this initiative next year.
