American Red Cross visits Jackson Rotary Club

JACKSON, Tenn. — One nonprofit gives a presentation to city leaders about their work in the community.

Curtis Morman with the American Red Cross spoke this afternoon with the Jackson Rotary Club.

During the presentation, his team spoke on the diligent work that has been happening across Madison County.

Their focus is on health, housing, and hunger. In order to combat these issues in Madison County, his team works with other nonprofits.

They shared what community adaptation looks like across the county, plus ways to fix local poverty.

“One is through education, our partners certainly need the grants, they need the materials or equipment. But one is helping them to educate our community so we can be a community that has better health or a community that is providing affordable housing. So, educating and getting the word out is help here in Madison County. I’m just thrilled to know that some of the help comes from the Red Cross,” said Morman, community adaptation program manager.

Morman also welcomed his new team member Lisa Peoples and reintroduced Bre Houston to city leaders.
