Items to better prepare you for future storms

JACKSON, Tenn. — Storms will come, but the severity and possible damage can range. So one question to ask yourself is, have you properly prepared?

Having an emergency plan prior to disaster and getting items needed in the case of a water leak or your power going out can make a big difference when facing possible damages.

We spoke with lifestyle expert, and former “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” contestant Bob Guiney, who shared some products to keep on hand.

In the case of a leak, Guiney suggested Moen’s smart water security system that can monitor your water levels.

Because the faster you know you have a leak, the better it is to decrease the damage.

He also suggested the Delta Pro 3, a power supply that can be used for days on a 1 hour charge.

“The best thing you can do is prepare and prevent that from happening in the first place. And that’s what we’re trying to do, is give people some ideas to make sure that it doesn’t happen to them again,” said Guiney.
