UPDATE: One dead, one in custody following Thursday shooting in Jackson (9/20/24)

JACKSON, Tenn. — On Thursday around 8:30 p.m., we were notified of a possible shooting on Grove Avenue by our WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News Tipsters.

When we arrived, our crew spotted police, fire and EMS personnel working on scene.

We spoke to the Jackson Police Department who confirmed this incident was a shooting and there is one victim seeking medical treatment. No further information is available at this time.
