Annual Semper Fi Golf Tournament raises money for local veterans
JACKSON, Tenn. — An annual fundraiser returns to support those who served.
The 9th Semper Fi Golf Tournament was held Monday at the Jackson National Golf Club. Tee-off was at 12 p.m. and 30 teams played.
100% of the proceeds benefit local veterans in the West Tennessee community.
The annual fundraiser by the Marine Corps League has grown every year.
“Since we’ve done this golf tournament, you know, we have given back close to $70,000,” said Bryce West, commander of the Marine Corps League Captain Jack Holland Detachment.
Money raised goes to local sponsorships, veterans in need, local and national veteran charities, scholarship programs, and other patriotic programs.
