Amy Michelle DeArmitt, beloved wife, mother, mimi, daughter, and sister, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024 surrounded by her family.
Born on August 14, 1972, in Huntingdon, TN, Amy was the daughter of Jackie and Patricia Nunley of Cedar Grove, TN. Her warm spirit and deep love for her family touched the lives of all who knew her.

Amy worked as a diagnostician for the Jackson Madison County School System, dedicating her life to helping students achieve their best. Her career was defined by her passion for education and her commitment to making a difference in the lives of children.

Above all, Amy cherished her family. She often said that her children and grand-daughter were her greatest blessings. She married her loving husband, Damien Lee DeArmitt, on June 2, 2012, and together they built a life filled with love and devotion.

Amy is survived by her husband, Lee DeArmitt of Jackson; her children, Amber Bradley (Trevor) of Huntingdon, TN, Damien Alexander DeArmitt of Cookeville, TN, Austin Winkelman (Romy) of Jacks Creek, TN, and Alyssa Winkelman of Jackson; her cherished grand-daughter, Rylee Grace Bradley; her parents, Jackie and Patricia Nunley of Cedar Grove, TN; and her sister, Julie Drake.

Amy will be remembered for her devout Christian faith, her unwavering love, her generous heart, and her commitment to her family and community. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, especially her family, whom she loved so dearly.

A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 5-7 pm at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the incredible woman she was.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to St. Jude Children‘s Research Hospital in memory of Amy DeArmitt. Amy’s legacy of kindness, love, and service will forever inspire those fortunate enough to have known her.
