Donald Bruce Cook
Donald Bruce Cook, 67, of Troy passed away 6:30 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2024, at his home with his family by his side.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Chuck Graham will officiate. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Cory Cook, Austin Cook, Mason Walton, Tillman Doss, Timmy Ping and Jose Morales.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dewayne Hodge, Bubby Smith, Rick Stutts, Gary Easterwood, Donnie Carroll and Jon Kerry Cook.
Bruce was born November 15, 1956, in Tiptonville, Tennessee, son of Sylvia (Munford) Cook and the late Willard Cook. He married Tawanna (Flowers) Cook July 28, 1989. Bruce retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 30 years of service as a maintenance coordinator. He enjoyed recreational boating, horseback riding and riding motorcycles. Bruce was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Tawanna Cook of Troy; his mother, Sylvia Cook of Fulton, Kentucky; his daughter, Wendy Jo (Cook) Doss (Tillman) of Union City; his son, Cory Cook of Union City; three grandchildren, Madison Thompson and Mason Walton both of Milan and Austin Cook of Union City; one great granddaughter, Emmalyn Thompson of Milan; one sister, Becky Riley of South Fulton; and two brothers, Johnny Cook (Reba) of Cayce, Kentucky and Darryl Cook (Shannon) of South Fulton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Cook; one daughter, Mandy Michelle Cook; two sisters, Janice Cook and Shelia Stutts; and two brothers, Jack Cook and Steve Cook.
