UPDATE (9/26/24): Female juvenile injured in apparent drive-by shooting
EAST JACKSON, Tenn. — There was a large police presence in one area of the hub city Wednesday evening.
We received a call from our WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News tipsters a little after 7 p.m. of officers on the scene at Hardee Street and O’Neal street, just off of North Royal in east Jackson.
When our crew arrived, they found Jackson police, the Jackson fire department, and EMS on the scene.
Crime tape was already up along with several evidence markers that lined the street.

The streets were blocked off and our crew saw police officers out with flashlights looking around along with one officer taking photographs of the scene.
Officers then left the scene shortly after 8 p.m.
We reached out to Jackson police, who confirmed that a shooting had occurred. However, they could not offer any further details.
