Union University kicks off its ‘Family Weekend’

JACKSON, Tenn. — It’s a family affair at one local college.

Union University is hosting ‘Family Weekend,’ a time where families gather with students to enjoy a variety of fun activities.

There will be a Make-A-Wish cookout Friday night, a 5K President’s Brunch on Saturday and much more.

“We came from Florida, so we actually used the hurricane to get away, come up here and enjoy the rain here at Union with our son Riley who is a sophomore here at the campus and just having the time of his life being here. Growing in his walk with the Lord and faith and fellowship with friends here on the campus. He runs cross country here at Union and this is our first chance as a family to come up and be part of his college experience. We dropped him off a year ago and that’s the last time we’ve been back up,” said Brian Garrison, visitor.
