PRESS RELEASE FROM DISTRICT ATTORNEY GENERAL FREDERICK H. AGEE:

On Monday, September 30, 2024, Tristan Lamar Newble, age 35, was apprehended and placed in custody in Fort Worth, Texas. He will be extradited back to Gibson County, Tennessee, to face his charges.

Newble had an active warrant for failing to appear in the Circuit Court of Gibson County at Humboldt Law Court on December 12, 2022, his scheduled court date for the offenses of Three Counts of Aggravated Child Abuse, Two Counts of Coercion of a Witness, Felony Possession and Manufacture of Marijuana, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Dangerous Felony, and Falsification of a Drug Screen.

Mr. Newble has been on the run for almost two years, and the Office of the District Attorney General, 28th Judicial District, wishes to thank our law enforcement partners and the media for working together to bring Mr. Newble to justice. The U.S Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force of Tennessee relentlessly pursued leads to track Newble’s whereabouts, and the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force collaborated to secure his apprehension.

Newble may waive extradition, or if he challenges it, our Office will proceed with formal extradition through a Governor’s warrant. The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office will make logistical arrangements for his transport once completed.
