Fire Prevention Week: Free alarms offered through ‘Get Alarmed, TN’ program
JACKSON, Tenn. — One small device can save your life, that’s why local businesses are coming together to keep you aware.
October 6 begins Fire Prevention Week.
The National Fire Protection Association and the Jackson Fire Department team up to campaign. This year, the focus is to educate everyone about the importance of smoke alarms in their homes.
In 2012, the state of Tennessee launched their “Get Alarmed, TN” program where your local fire station will provide detectors to you free of charge. For more information on the program or to request an alarm, click here.
