Team of the Week Mckenzie Rebels
Let’s start things off with our team of the week and it will go to the McKenzie Rebels.
Last week they got a big win over Bruceton winning with a final of 69 to 7. That victory keeps them undefeated at 6-0. It was a game
in which they dominated from the very kickoff. The offense played to perfection and was able to put
pressure on Bruceton defense by not allowing them to get comfortable or make adjustments..Once they
handled business, defense assured to also do their part sacking the quarterback, stopping the run game and
putting them in several third and longs. One of the guys who led them was quarterback Tate Surber who had 4 total touchdowns
through the air and on the ground and was our MVP of the week. We caught up with head coach Keith Hodge and he spoke to having
a dominating win and having to adjust and move their game to Thursday due to weather.

“Well i think the number one thing is we came out ready to play you know we were clicking on all cylinders i thought defense played really well created big turnovers that turns into points you know so it was just a really good complete game for us so i thought overall our team just played well which is the time of year this is the time of year were your wanting to see us doing things right
i thought our guys responded really well to it and actually played one of our better games
on a short week like that and didn’t let it affect us that much.”

To catch the Rebels in action they host Perry county on Friday at 7:00 pm for their homecoming.
