Motorcyclist airlifted following north Jackson wreck

JACKSON, Tenn. — A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a morning wreck in the Hub City.

According to a press release from the Jackson Police Department, officers responded to a report of a crash around 8:46 Friday morning.

The release states that the wreck involved a motorcycle and a sedan traveling southbound on North Highland Avenue.

Photos shared to social media show the motorcycle down near North Highland and Fairway Boulevard.

The release states that upon arrival, officers found the motorcycle driver suffering from multiple injuries, and they were immediately transported to a local hospital by EMS.

Due to his injuries, the release confirms he was airlifted to Regional One in Memphis.
