Incident on N. Royal Street draws heavy police presence

JACKSON, Tenn.—Tipsters alert us to heavy police presence on N. Royal St. in Jackson.

Our WBBJ- 7 Eyewitness News team was informed of heavy police presence on North Royal Street in Jackson early Saturday evening.

Upon arrival, we discovered that North Royal was blocked off at the intersection of Alice Street.

We spotted Jackson Police Department as well as undercover police searching the yard of a home.

Nearby neighbors alleged that there was a shooting, which was later confirmed by Jackson Police Department.

The investigation is still ongoing.
