Jacob Barker Music Festival returns to Jackson on October 11
JACKSON, Tenn. — Mark your calendars to make a wish come true. This weekend, October 11-12, is the 8th Annual Jacob Barker Music Fest.
Held at the AMP in downtown Jackson, the event promises two days and nights of live music. Concert proceeds go to Make-A-Wish sponsors in the community who will assist with granting the wish of a child in the program.
The fest also has family fun, food and drinks, so bring your lawn chairs and blankets, and a donation if you can.
“Making sure these kids get to enjoy the time, you know, that they’re given on this earth and, since they’ve gone through all these treatments or cancer treatments or chemo or whatever their illness is, it doesn’t necessarily have to be cancer. They get a chance to sit back and relax and not have to worry about all the stuff they’ve been through at least for a few days anyway,” said Ronnie Barker, co-founder of the Jacob Barker Music Fest.
