JACKSON, Tenn. — One local college continues to make final preparations for the big game on Saturday.
Lane College staff and students are adding their final touches to the campus to welcome back alumni and to celebrate the football game at their annual tailgate.
“Its alumni and friends, we have some student organizations, we have some alumni Greek organizations that’s gonna be set up here. We also have some food trucks and vendors and some local vendors that’s gonna be setting up to showcase their business so we’re excited to have them here this year,” said Deshawn Barnes, director of alumni affairs at Lane College.
Each year the field in front of lanes football stadium is filled with fans who are supporting the dragons.
“I think what makes the tailgate special each year is the fellowship. Everyone being able to come back together to see classmates they may have not been able see in 5 to 6 years. So just being able to fellowship and celebrate our rich history here at Lane,” said Barnes.
