Shooting leaves 9 people injured

JACKSON Tenn. — Officers with the Jackson Police Department are investigating a shooting at Picture Perfect Event Center on North Highland Ave.

The incident happened Sunday October 20th at 1:30 am. A total of nine people were injured in the shooting. According the Jackson Police Department, seven of the victims were transported to the local hospital for treatment, and five of the victims were treated and released.

Two other victims were immediately airlifted to a hospital in Memphis, and are in stable condition. Only one victim was left with non-threatening life injuries. According to the Jackson Police Department, one of the victims who was originally transported to the Jackson General Hospital was later airlifted to Memphis, and ultimately succumbed to her injuries around 7 am Sunday October 20th.
