Governor Bill Lee meets with Greater Jackson Chamber during Hub City visit
JACKSON, Tenn. — Tennessee Governor Bill Lee made a stop on his tour to the Hub City.
Governor Lee visited the Greater Jackson Chamber for a private open house meeting.
In this meeting were city leaders, local mayors and local business owners. During this conversation he spoke on economic development, investing in the infrastructure across West Tennessee and workforce development. During this conversation BlueOval City also was discussed.
Governor Lee says that overall job development was one of the primary focus during this conversation.
“We need businesses to engage with those public schools to help inform those young people about what the jobs requirements are what the skills are needed and what opportunities there are,” said Governor Lee.
He also shared that investing in schools and children’s education is one of the most important opportunities for the growth of the state of Tennessee.
