Dunkin’ celebrates new Jackson location with free coffee giveaway

JACKSON, Tenn. — Life is short, eat the donut and don’t forget the coffee! Some Dunkin’ Donuts lovers will be doing that every day for 100 days.

Dunkin’ Donuts had a grand opening for the newest next generation restaurant located on 2741 North Highland Ave in Jackson on Wednesday. And to celebrate, Dunkin’ gave away ‘100 days of free coffee’ to the first 100 guests in line.

Coffee everyday!” said Rachel Vanpelt, giveaway winner. “Yes, we are so excited!,” said Lindsey Barnes, giveaway winner.

The whole community joined in on the celebration with Northside High School’s marching band stopping by. The Greater Jackson Chamber welcomed the new restaurant with a ribbon cutting.

And $3,000 was donated to RIFA from the Dunkin’ franchisee, Catalano Route-65 Management and the ‘Dunkin Joy in Childhood Foundation.’

“One thing about Dunkin’ Donuts and why we are so strong is we are about the community; we like to work with the schools. We like to raise money and give it back as well,” said Carla Cutter, chief executive officer for Dunkin Donuts.

In addition to 100 free cups of coffee, there was also face painting and giveaways.

“So we got to spend the wheel, I won a hat. I spun 4,” said Vanpelt. “I won a Koozie for my coffee!,” said Barnes.

The coffee and donut shop is well-known for their innovative beverage strategies and delicious donuts.

With Dunkin’s next gen design, the store features premium pours, with coffee on tap and a front-facing bakery case for a closer look at the fresh donuts available.

This month’s coffee features the potion macchiato and other fall flavors.

“Right now we have pumpkin spice, it’s very exciting. It will be going away soon so you still have a last minute chance to get that,” said Cutter.

November features the peppermint mocha signature latte and spiced cookie coffee.

Dunkin’ has been operating for almost 75 years. This is the 31st location Catalano Route-65 Management has opened in Tennessee.
