80-year-old woman dies after fire at senior living apartments

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — An 80-year-old woman died Thursday after an apartment fire at a senior living facility in Memphis, Tennessee, officials said.

The Memphis Fire Department said crews arrived at the fire to find the woman outside, in cardiac arrest. The woman later died, officials said.

News outlets reported that the apartment is located at a senior living facility in the north Memphis neighborhood of Raleigh. Neighbors pulled the woman out of the building before authorities arrived, news outlets reported.

There were no other reports of people injured. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
