Pet of the Week: Wolfy

This week’s Pet of the Week comes to us from Tipton County Animal Shelter. Meet Wolfy!

Are you looking for the perfect dog to cosplay Game of Thrones with? Have you been dreaming of an affectionate, silly, fluffy pup to complete your family? Wolfy is your girl!

Wolfy is a stunning 1 to 2-year-old Husky and possible Samoyed blend weighing 60 pounds, but may top out around 70 pounds.

She is heartworm positive, but don’t let that hold you back from adopting your own direwolf lookalike! Tipton County Animal Shelter has a treatment program with partnered vets. She can kick those worms to the curb in the comfort of your home!

Wolfy is dog friendly and loves kids. She also walks well on leash!

Wolfy’s best home would have a fenced yard to play in, and no cats.

As fantastic and fun as Wolfy is, she does have a couple of small quirks – she does not like loading up into a vehicle, but once you coax her in with patience and high value treats, she rides well! Also, her ears are a little tender from an injury sustained prior to being rescued by the shelter.

So, if you are House Stark and looking for your own Ghost, apply to adopt this sweet southern direwolf.

You can find out more about Wolfy by contacting Lee Riley or Amber Smith at (901) 837-5919.

Tipton County Animal Shelter also has an online adoption application available at www.tiptonco.com/adoption_application/index.php.
