Local sorority chapter presents “Pink Ice Sneaker Ball”
JACKSON, Tenn.—One local ball offered comfort and flair.
Gamma Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha hosted their Pink Ice Sneaker Ball.
The fundraising event supports the chapters international programs, scholarships and community service initiatives.
They also took the time out to celebrate breast cancer survivors.
“At Whiteville Elementary School, we pack bags for them for weekend meals. We have children that go home hungry every weekend and so this initiative will allow us to put funds into that account, so that we can purchase food for those babies in Whiteville,” said Monique Merriweather, President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc. Jackson.
Door prizes were also given out this occasion.
