City leaders host community dinner in Brownsville
BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — Leaders sit down with residents of one city for a fun community dinner.
Tuesday, neighbors gathered at Brownsville Family Restaurant for a meal. The dinner was free and open to all residents of Brownsville. The meeting consisted of multiple conversations regarding the future of the city.
Among the topics discussed were progress regarding local schools and an upcoming entrepreneur business summit.
“It’s important, the biggest asset in any community are the people that live there, so it’s important that we engage with people. Not everybody comes to a city council meeting. Any time you have an opportunity to break bread together, it’s a great opportunity,” said Mayor William Rawls.
Mayor Rawls also invited anyone who’s looking for an opportunity to unlock their business potential to join their business summit on Friday, November 15. It will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., at 11-13 East Main Street in Brownsville.
