Freed-Hardeman president speaks at Jackson Rotary meeting
JACKSON, Tenn. — One organization welcomes a president from a local college to share their university’s success.
President David Shannon spoke at Jackson’s Rotary Club to share what all students have accomplished. Recently, Shannon shared that the university celebrated 90% fall to fall enrollment. Along with that success, Freed-Hardeman was ranked third best value by U.S. news in the southern region and 23rd overall.
Shannon shares that overall his favorite part of being president is watching students grow up from their first year until graduation.
“They become young adults and their growth and development is so fun to watch and in some way to a part of it. And that’s one of the most awarding things is to see that bright eyed freshman grow into a mature 22-year-old that’s ready for the next step,” said Shannon.
Overall, Shannon is always welcome to share the mission of their university.
