28th Judicial District Attorney’s Office partners with ROCIC

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE OFFICE OF DISTRICT ATTORNEY GENERAL FREDERICK H. AGEE:

The Office of the District Attorney General for the 28th Judicial District is proud to announce its membership with the Regional Organized Crime Information Center (ROCIC) and the Regional Information Sharing Systems Program (RISS)!

ROCIC and RISS were developed from the professional experience of more than 50 years of trusted national law enforcement service, offering secure information sharing and communications capabilities, critical analytical and investigative support services, and event deconfliction to enhance officer safety.  This Program assists local law enforcement and district attorneys with specialized investigative and evidentiary tools from the beginning of an investigation to the conclusion of prosecution.

ROCIC and RISS supports focused efforts against violent crime, organized crime and gang activity, illegal drug distribution, terrorism, human trafficking, identity theft, cybercrime, and other regional priorities.

“Our Office is honored to be approved for membership in this meritorious Program, which provides valuable investigative and case support resources to our local law enforcement and to our ultimate prosecution of violent crime in our District.  We will continue to modernize our Office to provide the People of Crockett, Gibson, and Haywood Counties with exceptional service in the performance of our duties.  We thank the professional personnel of ROCIC and RISS for working with our Office during the approval process and our own Investigator Jimmy Wilson for his dedicated efforts to bring about that approval.”
– Frederick H. Agee, District Attorney General
