Auditions begin for district-wide student production

JACKSON, Tenn.—A local school host auditions for an upcoming production.

Liberty Tech High School hosted auditions for the upcoming district-wide production of “All Shook-up.”

This unique production is presented by all the high school theatre departments within the Jackson Madison County School District.

“All Shook-up” is a modern retelling of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and set to rocking tunes of Elvis Presley.

The production meant to entertain all ages will inspire audience members to follow their hearts, open up to the possibility of love, all while tapping their feet to some rocking tunes.

“The plot is moved forward through the music of Elvis Presley. So it’s perfect for our area of West Tennessee where Elvis is from and it is a funny rendition of a love triangle,” said Kristy White, JMCS Fine Arts Advisor.

Auditions were open to students in grades 9th through 12th.

The big show is set to hit the stage in February 2025.
