Henderson County Sheriff’s Office issues scam alert

HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Officials with the Henderson County Sheriff’s office are warning of a scam affecting the area.

According to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, there have been recent reports of people receiving phone calls from ‘731-968-7777’ claiming they have jury duty and owe $5,000 to the sheriff’s office.

This is a scam. HCSO says they will not call people for missing jury duty.

If you are unsure if the person you are speaking with is legitimate, call the organization directly and ask for confirmation before giving out any information.
