Royce Floyd Henry
1937 – 2024

Royce Floyd Henry, age 87, resident of Somerville, Tennessee, departed
this life Friday morning, November 1, 2024 at his home.
Floyd was born July 23, 1937 in Somerville, the son of the late Joseph
Calvin Henry and Mary Belle Taylor Henry. He was employed with Fulton
Insulation Company for 30 years and Dowdy’s House Moving for 20 years
before his retirement in 2009. Floyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding on back
roads, playing lottery tickets, watching westerns on tv and sitting on his
front porch. Floyd was known in his neighborhood as the “neighborhood
watch patrol”.
Mr. Henry is survived by two daughters, Heather “Peanut” Henry and Shelia
Sipes (David); two stepsons, Donald Jones and Anthony Perkey; his sister-
in-law, Carol Henry; his brother-in-law, Gary Perkins; six grandchildren,
Justin Campbell (Jessica), Lauren Campbell (Austin Arthur), Johnathan
Campbell, Leanna Henry, Olivia Gonzalez, Ana Gonzalez, Patrick Sipes
(Taylor) and Christie Sipes; and eleven great-grandchildren, Connor,
Makynlee, JaColby, Kyler, Clara, Chloe, Carson, Knoxx, Graelon, Bayleigh
and Bryleigh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth
Henry Pearson and Frances Christine Henry Perkins and four brothers,
Franklin Eugene Henry, James A. Henry, Royand Lloyd Henry (his twin
brother) and Harry Roberson.
A visitation for Mr. Henry will be from 12 noon until 2 P.M. Thursday,
November 7, 2024 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville.
Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Thursday, November 7, 2024 at the
Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Terry Logan officiating.
Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery at Laconia.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Johnathan Campbell, Justin
Campbell, Anthony Perkey, Nick Brown, Donald Jones, Austin Arthur and
Carl Brown.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Liberty Baptist Church,
6140 Old Jackson Road, Somerville, TN 38068.
