Gala fundraiser supports needs within the community
JACKSON, Tenn.— The Community Foundation of West Tennessee hosted their 33rd annual Charity Gala today at the Carl Perkins Center.
The Charity Gala recognizes local leaders who are steering growth and change in the area.
At this years event, eleven individuals received awards.
The event includes a cocktail reception, silent auction, seated dinner, award presentations, live music, and dancing.
“Tonight’s proceeds specifically help fund Critical Community Initiative, such as our Community Impact Grants. Last year, because of the Charity Gala we were able to award $75,000 back into the community and impact hundreds of lives right here in the community,” said Haley Fortune, Community Impact Manager for the Community Foundation.
They are expecting to raise over $160,000 to invest and improve the health and well being of the community.
