Local church celebrates ‘Thanksgiving of Praise’
HUMBOLDT, Tenn.—A church event benefits local families and nursing home facilities.
St. James Baptist Church presents its annual Thanksgiving of Praise event today.
The event took place at 5 this evening at the church located at 701 West Main Street in Humboldt.
The event is a way for the church to give back to families within the community and also lend support to care facilities in the area.
“This is for the community. We’re out giving to communities, needy families, canned goods and to the nursing home,” said Donald Baskerville, event coordinator.
The event comes just one week following celebrating their open house and new fellowship hall.
This is the second year the event has been held at the church.
