Milan Chamber hosts its Retail Open House
MILAN, Tenn.—Shops in one local city open their doors to offer some retail therapy.
The Milan Retail Open House began at 1 this afternoon and the fun continued until 5 this evening.
The two-day event presented by the Milan Chamber of Commerce focuses on small businesses and promotes the ‘shop small’ ideal.
The unique shopping experience invites guests to peruse participating small businesses throughout the area.
Some of those businesses include boutiques, restaurants, clothing stores and more.
Each location offers special sales, and even some freebies to its customers.
As visitors enter the locations, they are invited to scan a unique QR code on their phones to be entered to win $100 in Chamber Cash!
That lucky winner will be announced live on the chamber’s Facebook page Monday.
“Every year, this time of the year they do a Milan Open House Retail for all the small businesses here in Milan. Every business will do a giveaway. The chamber does a giveaway every single year. You can sign up to win 100 dollars in Chamber Cash which is cash that’s used in Milan throughout the businesses,” said Penny Ray, Co-owner of the Willow Whisk Bakery.
This year over twenty local businesses participated in the special event.
