Peggy Rose Dortch Pierce

Peggy Rose Dortch Pierce, age 93 of Paris passed away Tuesday, November 12,
2024, at AHC of Paris. Her funeral service is planned for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday,
November 13 th, graveside at Poplar Grove Cemetery. Her great-grandchildren will
serve as pallbearers.
Peggy Rose Dortch Pierce was born May 29, 1931, in Hayti, MO to the late Robert
Lonzo and Johnny Elizabeth Pierce Dortch.
Peggy was a sitter for Henry Medical Center. She was a loving mother,
grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She loved to cook,
and she loved to travel. She will be greatly missed.
Peggy is survived by two daughters: Virginia “Jenny” (Kenny) Grobe of Poplar
Bluff, MO and Rebecca “Becky” (Richard) Sinclair of Paris, TN; grandchildren:
Amy Bridgewater, Amanda Grobe, Peggy Barker, Lisa Barker (Clyde Simmons),
and Chat Ragland; great-grandchildren: Wade (Amber) Bridgewater, Mason
Bridgewater, Nickolas Pierce Palma, Hastings Ragland, Hamilton Ragland, Emma
Rose Ragland, Rebecca Toombs, and Ava Elizabeth Myers; great-great-
grandchildren: Olivia Bridgewater & Lucas Bridgewater; and many nieces,
nephews, cousins, and other loved ones including Eddie (Brenda) Dortch and
Eddie Junior of Poplar Bluff, MO.
Besides her parents, Peggy was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lee
Pierce; her son, Clayton “Tony” Hastings; daughter-in-law, Patsy Hastings; two
grandchildren: Kimberley Dawn Ragland and Vickie Hastings; two sisters: Hazel
Rebecca Dunlap and Robbie Brown; and three brothers: Bobby Dortch, Henry
Pierce Dortch, and Eddie Dortch.
