Soggy Day Coming Wednesday, Near Normal Temperatures this Week!
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:

Clouds will increase overnight as a warm front will lift through from the south. That will increase the humidity and as a cold front will approach from the west, that will usher in a few rounds of rain showers and possibly some non severe storms to West Tennessee. Maybe of us will see a solid inch of rain with some people seeing amounts as high as 2″ east of Jackson. Severe weather is not expected but do not expect to see much of the sun either on Wednesday. Catch the latest on the timing of the possible storms and the rest of your weeks forecast coming up right here.

THIS WEEK:
Temperatures have been above normal each day so far during the month of November. The coolest morning we have encountered so far as of Monday is 52° on November 2nd. Tonight we will fall into the 40s for the first time this month and start our Wednesday morning in the upper 40s. A week but dry front will dig passed Monday night and with the partly cloudy skies, temperatures will fall into the upper 40s early tonight before warming up into the morning under a warm front.

We saw more sunshine in Tuesday but highs were close to normal. Highs again made it up to around 70° even behind the weak front. Overnight lows most of the week will fall down into the 40s and bottom out around 40° for both Thursday and Friday night’s. A few 30s could be possible in our northern counties but no frost of freezing temperatures are in the forecast. We could be looking at our latest freeze on record but we still have 17 more days to go before we set that record. The latest fall freeze we have had in Jackson was October 28th back in 2004.

Highs on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will only reach the low to mid 60s. Clouds and rain showers will return on Wednesday and a few storms may mix on it as well. The rain will start in the late morning and be off and on into the afternoon and evening. There will be a chance for a few non severe storms to mix in depending on the timing on the front that is expected to pass Wednesday in the late evening or early night hours. The rain will wrap up before the sun comes up on Thursday. Expected 1/2″ to 1″ of rain for most of West Tennessee. Mostly sunny skies will be back on Thursday and sunny skies look likely on Friday.

The winds this week will come out of the northeast on Tuesday, the southeast on Wednesday, back to the northwest on Thursday and straight out of the north on Friday. The change in the winds will be from two cold front and a low pressure system moving through the area. No severe weather is in the forecast as of now for us this week.

THE WEEKEND:
Southerly winds will look to move back in this weekend in West Tennessee and that will warm us up a bit back into the mid to upper 60s for highs. There is a chance will reach the 70s on both Sunday and next Monday but it will be close for most of us. Saturday will be a mostly sunny day but more clouds will return late in the day on Sunday. There is a chance for some late day rain showers and maybe a few storms as of now on Monday but it doesn’t appear to be anything significant as well at this time. Saturday morning will be a little chilly around 40° but Saturday night will fall down to around 50° and mid 50s are expected for our Sunday night. Overall the weekend looks pretty good with Saturday being a little cooler, less humid but dry. As of now, rain will look to stay away again this weekend.
