West TN duo wins Country Duo/Group Album of the Year at 10th Annual Josie Music Awards

JACKSON, Tenn. — Country music duo and singer-songwriters the Hutcheson Brothers, comprised of Brandon and Jon Hutcheson, were awarded the Country Duo/Group Album of the Year on October 27 for their album “Behind The Levee.”

The event was held at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. Accepting the award was older brother Brandon, who received the honor while standing in the treasured Opry Circle, where numerous country music legends have stood over the opry’s nearly 100-year existence.

Of the eight songs on Behind The Levee, the Hutcheson Brothers wrote or co-wrote 5 tracks, however, the Hutcheson Brothers would like to thank all the songwriters who contributed to making Behind The Levee come together.

“The title Behind The Levee, it actually comes from a song that John and I cowrote ‘Mississippi River Town’ where it talks about growing up in Lake County and Dyer County and places like that. So we took the album title from a line from that song,” said Brandon Hutcheson.

The Hutcheson Brothers have earned a total of 62 independent country music award nominations since 2019 from five organizations.
