HARDEMAN COUNTY, Tenn. — A local educator has been arrested for charges including sexual battery by an authority figure.

According to records available online, 44-year-old Jason Childers was taken into custody at the Hardeman County jail Monday morning.

According to the school’s website, Childers is a teacher at Middleton High School in Hardeman County.

The Mobile Patrol app lists the following charges:

  • Aggravated sexual battery
  • Assault (4 counts)
  • Sexual battery by authority figure
  • Simple possession
  • Tampering with or fabricating evidence

At the time of this report, Childers remains in custody at the Hardeman County Criminal Justice Complex.
