Groundbreaking ceremony held for new TCAT location in Henderson County
LEXINGTON, Tenn. — A special groundbreaking ceremony was held Tuesday at TCAT Jackson at Lexington.
The school is opening a new $30 million building with space for technical college students to attend.
There’ll be many of the programs that are currently taught at the existing location and some additional programs.
“The great thing about this facility is that any industry that is in the area that needs a trained workforce, we can develop and implement whatever program of study they need us to teach for individuals to find great jobs in the community,” said Flora Tydings, chancellor of the Tennessee Board of Regents.
The facility will be a showpiece in the north part of the county for anyone coming into Henderson County to recognize that it’s a great place to go and get an education as well as become a part of a wonderful community.
