Heat lamp leads to house fire in Hardin County
HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — A local fire department is warning residents about heat sources following a house fire Tuesday morning.
According to the Hardin County Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched to a home on Delbert Road shortly after 8 a.m., after a caller advised the front porch was in flames.
The department says no injuries were reported as no one was home when the fire occurred, however the house received substantial damage.
According to the department, the incident was captured on the residents’ Ring camera, which showed the fire started from a heat lamp near a dog bed on the porch.
Hardin County Fire says they recommend you never use a heat lamp in or near a residence, and reminds residents to contact them for a free smoke alarm if needed.
