Toys for Tots program kicks off in West Tennessee
JACKSON, Tenn. — The United States Marine Corps kicks off their Toys for Tots program as the holidays approach.
This program serves Madison and Gibson county. They pursue this mission every year to help kids in need who won’t be able to celebrate Christmas this year.
You can find Toys for Tots boxes all over the region from the AT&T store here in the Hub City, to banks like Regions and 75 other companies that support this cause in West Tennessee.
Each box has a QR code attached to monetarily donate. Those funds will go straight to the campaign.
They’re asking for new toys that are unwrapped. They don’t accept used toys.
“I would like to thank the ones that have donated already for the Toys for Tots fundraiser. This is a great thing that happens all over that the marines do for families and stuff like that and it’s something that’s going to continue to keep going,” said L.C. Reed, junior vice commander of the Marine Corps League.
They’re projected to serve more than 950 kids this year.
