Jo Ann Reagan Smith

Jo Ann Reagan Smith, 83, of Union City passed away 4:00 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2024, at The Waters of Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Rick Burton will officiate. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Caldwell, Kyle Caldwell, Klay Caldwell, Japheth Caldwell, Nathan Smith, Brian James and James Grooms.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.

Jo Ann was born February 26, 1941, in Dyer County, daughter of the late Charles Nathan and Mary (Brown) Reagan. She married Daniel B. Smith in 1960. He preceded her in death September 13, 2012. Jo Ann was the owner and operator of The Locker Room and Budget Books in Union City for 46 years. During that time she sponsored several youth and adult sports teams thru the years. She loved the St. Louis Cardinals and was a member of Woodland Mills First Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Lisa Grooms and husband Terry of Troy; one son, Eric Smith and wife Lori of Smyrna; one sister, Marsha Smith and husband Rodney of Memphis; one brother, Lynn Reagan and wife Rose of San Angelo, Texas; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Lynn Smith; one granddaughter, Samantha Smith; and two brothers, Delbert Reagan and Waymon Reagan.
