City of Jackson announces 2nd annual citywide holiday decorating contest

JACKSON, Tenn. — A fun and festive event returns for the holiday season. The ‘Jingle Bell Jackson Holiday Decorating Contest‘ and ‘Guess the Bulb Challenge’ returns for the second year to bring holiday cheer to residents across the Hub City.

Residents are invited to nominate their favorite holiday-decorated homes for a chance to win exciting prizes and spread joy throughout the community.

The nomination period is open from December 1-6. During this time, residents can easily nominate their favorite holiday-decorated homes by completing a simple form online.

Two winners will receive cash prizes. $1,000 dollars will go to the winner of the judges’ pick, and $1,000 dollars to the winner of the Voya Financial People’s Choice award.

“We definitely wanted to bring it back this year. Everyone enjoyed it, and as an additional prize this year, our winners will be receiving a yard sign for the Jingle Bell Jackson 2024 winner. So they can put that in their yard as bragging rights for future years,” said Christiana Gallagher, community relations director for the City of Jackson.

The winners of the holiday decorating contest will be announced on December 17.
