Tips to improve your physical, mental health as winter approaches

JACKSON, Tenn. — Here are tips to improve your physical and mental health this holiday season.

Working out is a great way to keep yourself healthy, both physically and mentally. However, it can be challenging to stay motivated so we found some tips to make it easier.

First, have a workout buddy to ensure accountability. Find gyms that offer perks like free music subscriptions or partnering with brands to support attendance.

Find a location near you for ease of transportation and read up on memberships to find what’s best for you.

Also, music and fitness go hand-in-hand so gather tunes that get you moving.

“First and foremost, don’t wait until the new year to start doing things that are healthy for you like, one, fitness and wellness, but also celebrating and rewarding yourself,” said Teddy Savage, certified fitness trainer.

Savage is the national lead trainer at Planet Fitness who plays an integral role in fitness programming and support for all of its clubs nationwide.
