Tommy Manford Bacome, a proud veteran of the Navy, passed away November 21, 2024, at the Tennessee State Veteran’s Home in Humboldt, Tennessee.
He enlisted in the Navy at the age of 21, July 15, 1959 and was on the USS BORIE DD 704 (Destroyeras a Hospital Corpsman). In 1962, he transferred to the USS SHENANDOAH AD 26 (Destroyer Tender in Transportation). July 11, 1963 he transferred to Reserves with a GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL.

Tommy Manford Bacome was born March 22, 1938 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and attended Mt. Pleasant High School. He also attended Oakland Community College in Union Lake, Michigan.

Tommy Bacome is survived by his wife of 48 years, Peggy J (Cone) Bacome; his daughter, Tammy Neff; son, David Bacome (Peggy); daughter, Mitzi Carman (Don); and daughter, Maria VonKoehnen. Eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Bud Andrews and Larry Andrews (Margaret).

Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers, Tony Bacome (Elaine), Einar Bacome (Phyllis), Brad Bacome (Caroline); and sisters, Jeanette Brand (Dick) and Judy Kidle (Jerry).

A service honoring the life of Tommy M. Bacome will be held Saturday December 28, 2024 at the Grace Bible Fellowship Church at 3828 Brownsville Hwy, Jackson, TN 38301 (Huntersville) at 11:00am
