Caywood Elementary hosts communitywide Thanksgiving dinner

LEXINGTON, Tenn. — One local school is giving back to its community with a feast.

Earlier Tuesday, guests were invited to Caywood Elementary School in Lexington for a communitywide Thanksgiving dinner. ‘Come to the Table’ was the name of this free event, which was open to anyone and everyone. They had a buffet full of Thanksgiving favorites and you could either eat at the school with others or take your meal to go.

“Today is a day for everybody to come together, share together, serve with one another, eat with one another, laugh with one another, pray with one another if we need to, you know what ever those needs are we hope we can meet them today with today’s event,” said Michael Crewse, event coordinator.

There were multiple local churches involved to bring great food for great people.
