The Jackson Police Department confirmed a shooting took place in the area of Wallace Road and Fairmeadows Drive at approximately 3:55 p.m. Tuesday. They discovered five individuals suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside an SUV, four adults and a two-year-old child.

The victims were transported to a nearby hospital, with some being airlifted to a hospital in Memphis.

During the preliminary investigation, police identified the suspect’s vehicle as a white 4-door sedan, using surveillance footage from the area. An adult person of interest is currently in custody.
